Verna C. Lewis

Verna was born February 26, 1925, in Utica, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Alston Lamar Curtis and Florence Davis Curtis. Her early years were spent in Mississippi, and she had been a resident of LaPlace, Louisiana for the last fifty years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include sons, William F. Lewis and wife Linda, and Jimmy M. Lewis and wife Jeanie; grandchildren, Melissa D. Vicknair and husband Cory, Timothy M. Lewis and wife Amber, and John W. Lewis and wife Carolina; great-grandchildren, Edward Darr, Jr., Brandon Darr, Shaelyn Vicknair, Haven Vicknair, Athan Lewis, and Adlei Lewis; one brother, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 12:00-2:00pm, Friday, March 15, 2019, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in the Utica Cemetery.
