Mrs. Walter Rene Rogers, 84, passed away April 22, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 Noon Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Pearl with interment at 2 PM in Kennedy Springs Cemetery near Mendenhall. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 AM until 12 Noon.
Mrs. Rogers was a charter member of Crossgates Baptist Church. She loved decorating, working in her yard and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Linsey Rogers of Brandon; son, David Rogers (Cherry) of Murfreesboro, TN; daughters, Lynda Rideout of Mize and Kimberly McAlpin (Michael) of Mize; brother, Harold Bynum of Magee; sisters, Gloria Jean Bratcher of Magee, Carol McWilliams of Magee and Brenda Kennedy of Mendenhall; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or any favorite charity.
