Visitation is 1:00pm-3:00pm Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Wayne was born March 1, 1943 in Meridian, Mississippi a son of the late John Earmon Russell and Lucille Parker Russell. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he attended Weathersby Baptist Church in Mendenhall. He owned and operated Auto Haus of Jackson for several years, and retired from Mississippi Blood Services after 15 years of service. Wayne will best be remembered for his quick wit and wicked sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Russell; daughter, Beth Williamson (Eddie); son, David Russell (Sandra); grandsons, Bryan and Russell Williamson and Anthony Russell; great-grandson, Joshua Fulcher; and sisters, Bobbie Jean Messier and Effie Trujillo.
Memorials may be made to the GIDEONS or the American Cancer Society.
