William "Buster" Burnham

William A. "Buster" Burnham, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at University Medical Center due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be at 1pm Thursday at Union Baptist Church (Mayton), Puckett, MS with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Burnham served in the US Army and retired from the Jackson Police Department after 34 years of service. He is a member and deacon at Union Baptist Church, Puckett. He was previously a member of Southside Baptist Church in Jackson where he also served as deacon for many years.

Mr. Burnham is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Berta Hales Burnham; and brother, John Hubert Burnham.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Burnham; daughters, Beverly Hofsass (John) and Sherry Anderson (Troy); grandchildren, Christina Cook, Emily Hofsass, Joshua Hofsass (Ronda), Corey Hofsass, Brittany Gardner, Jacob Anderson, and Sierra Anderson; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Maria Hofsass, Skyler Anderson and Tinley Hofsass; brothers, Guy Burnham, Jr. (Marilyn), Monroe Burnham (Patricia) and Rev. Charles Ray Burnham (Shirley); sisters, Cora Margaret Bell and Shirley Brady; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Burnham.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made for the grandchildren in care of Yvonne Burnham.
