DeShawn Joesidney Maeberry

Shawn will forever be remembered for his kindness and big heart. He loved his momma's cooking and trying to rescue every animal he came across. Shawn loved his family and his family's unconditional love for him.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Johnnie Mae Phillips and George Phillips; grandmother, Walter Nell Lemons.

DeShawn is survived by his mother, Sharon Maeberry; grandmother, Gwendlyn Gibson; grandfather, Joe Sidney Maeberry; brother, Kennard Lemons Maeberry; sisters, Kennasa Maeberry, K'Nara Colman, Aaliyah Lemons and Kyonna Lemons; father, Kennard Lemons; step-mother, Lisa Lemons; two nephews, Karter and Aries; niece, Ke'Veonna, with extended family of aunties, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Pkwy. Pearland, Texas 77584 on January 31, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will take place at the same location on January 31, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. with a burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery South at 2:00 p.m.

Reception will take place at Forest Park South Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
