Paul was the most courageous person I have know in my life. He taught me that you never give up, you never take anything for granted and you cherish every second of life and no matter what life gives you….. you turn it into a positive……. He was such a kind person… I’m blessed to have meet such a sweet soul.  And will always be thankful for his make up tips.  I will miss him.

I met Paul several years ago at a make-up party my sister dragged me to.  I was not in the market for a new look but like Paul loved Cristina, I love my sis too so I went.  And after the party, I never looked back. Paul had me at “hello, can I make you look more gorgeous than you already are?”  He could see the gorgeous in everyone and he brought it out effortlessly.  I have been a Trish McEvoy junkie since that day…all due to Paul and his inner Yoda wisdom.

How can I describe Paul adequately? I cannot but the word that pops into my conscience is Transcendent.  Paul transcended the ugly on earth and created beauty instead. His medium was artfully mastering the world of make-up but his message transcended his trade. Paul exemplified what it means to live a full life with purpose. Every time we saw each other he silently reminded me that no matter what we “do” on this earth, it’s how we “be” that that matters. He never said that in words. He just lived it, exuded it.

Paul…I miss you, I will miss you and you will remain a shining light from the stars above.  Peace to your soul, Cristina (another shining light), your husband and your family. You will not be forgotten. G

I’ve known you in the industry since the beginning and to be honest I was intimidated by you because of your confidence and strength that you carry that was noticed by everyone. I’m glad I got to know you because knowing you has been such a pleasure, your caring and sassy heart will never be forgotten and it is the greatest privilege. No one should have to endure what you did but it just shows the strength and diligence that you have. I’m glad you are no longer in pain but as I’m sure with what everyone believes, it is never enough time with you. Even in the worst pain you were still there for me. Thank you for being you and for believing in me as well. You said we are like family and I will always remember that bc we are. I love you forever and rest easy. I will always think of you even more when eating my mom’s bi.

Paul was truly one of a kind! He was completely and totally devoted to his craft. and boy did he know his makeup and every last bit of Trish McEvoy products.  He has done all of our family's makeup - mom, sisters and daughters - for years. And even as he was sick, he always insisted and made sure not to miss helping beautify us for any event. More recently he was not able to do my daughter's makeup for prom. I sent him a picture of my niece (who is also a Paul follower) doing my daughter's makeup.  She had a piece of paper that Paul had given her showing her how to do it.  I snapped a picture thinking Paul would appreciate seeing his protege at work - and in true Paul fashion, he responded, "Love it. but the real question is why is she using a Bobbi Brown brush?"  Trish should be so proud! Paul you will be so so missed.  My prayers are with all of your loving family.

Paul was a prince among men! He made my mom, my sister, my daughters and me feel beautiful. He did our makeup for my daughter’s weddings and showers and enriched our experience with his kindness and incredible skill.  He will be sorely missed by all is us. I feel so lucky to have such special memories with Paul. Over the last 10 years, I have looked forward to every visit with Paul, from learning how to apply the latest makeup look to making me feel my very best self on my wedding day. During these visits, we would always laugh, smile, and connect. Not only did I walk away feeling beautiful, but I left each appointment feeling like I had just hung out with my good friend. I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Paul. Paul was one of the first people I met when we moved to Houston, and from the very beginning, his warmth and humor left an unforgettable   mark on my life. His immense talent as a makeup artist was matched only by his incredible ability to make everyone around him feel truly special. Paul had a rare gift and I was lucky he shared it with me.

Paul introduced me to Trish 20 years ago when we met, which led to me working with Paul for Trish in Denver. We had some great times traveling and I then introduced him to my friends which fell in love with Paul and made them all lifelong customers.

Paul was one of the first people I met when I relocated to Houston in 2016! We instantly hit it off and became friends! He was warm, kind and always gave me the best advice but also held accountable at all times. I will forever cherish the memories we had together and will never forget the impact he made on my life and others! He will be deeply missed! I love you Paul!

If there is a word that could describe Paul it would be grace. He graced Trish McEvoy with his presence from the beginning of his career over two decades ago at Nordstrom in Houston Galleria and embodied his role as the lead trainer for the company. He had this special gift of intimately understanding the hearts of the people that worked with him and around him. Paul’s compassionate approach came without discrimination. I struggled to put a label on his role in my life for a long time, because he was so much more than a colleague to me.  After much thought, I realized Paul was the older brother that I never had; he gave me the tough love that I needed. He was one of my biggest advocates for fostering my personal development, not only as a makeup artist, but as a human. I am truly blessed to have been in Paul’s circle and hope he finds peace in his spiritual journey.

My 30th birthday. I remember feeling seen, loved, and valued by his sheer presence. I am proud to have called him my friend. He always showed up for me no matter what. That’s who he was for me and so many others.

Christmas party! At Trish McEvoy we were always celebrating because with Paul by your side sucesss was the only outcome. There was no such thing as the word impossible. Passion and dedication was all he served. He accepted nothing less, and I am a better person for it.

Paul was such a kind, generous, supportive, insightful, and talented person. I will forever be grateful for the day I met him so many years ago at the Trish McEvoy counter at Nordstrom. Through the years as the company so wisely continued to tap into his creative and personal skills, it became clear to me that he had found his calling and passion. Nobody made a person feel special in the way that Paul did. And I have said many times that if everyone was as wonderful at what they do as Paul is, the world would be a much better place. What a natural at bringing so much beauty into the universe, in every way. I feel so privileged to have been able to see him recently in person on his birthday, shining as brightly as ever, with the same positive, strong attitude, even though he shared with me that he was entering into Hospice care. What a blessing it was to give him hugs on that day. His genuinely beautiful spirit lives on through his family, and so many friends and clients. He will hold a warm place in my heart forever.

I have many fond memories of Paul. His sense of humor, the way he was such a great listener, his enthusiasm and ability to motivate people. Of course anyone who knew him, knew of his passion and dedication to his career with Trish McEvoy and his love for his clients.   One of my favorite memories I have of him was his love for music and singing. I guess because we always had that in common. I will cherish the memories I have of him and the music C D’s he gave to me. Especially the one that he made for my wedding day. What a beautiful and thoughtful person he was to all.

I am so sorry to hear about Paul. He was full of life, joy and always had the ability to make each person in the room feel extra special. He will be deeply missed and often thought of through his friendships and teachings.   

We met at the beginning of Covid as I was wanting a fabulous makeover and to start using Trish products. We laughed how I walked out of Nordstroms with my new makeover on a paper face rather than mine. He was so reassuring that it would all be exactly what I was looking for and he would teach me how to apply over zoom. He was that good, it worked!   

Even through meeting that day he continued follow up, keep me updated on specials and new products and checked to see if I needed anything. I loved seeing him at Blue Mercury and Nordstrom’s.  He truly was loved by so many and will be missed. ❤️

These pictures where taken of us in Palm Beach Jan 2022 & Jan 2023, this was a wonderful time - firstly when all the team went to celebrate Jojo’s birthday and then the year after when it was just Paul, Rick, Selam and I.  I am so grateful for the couple of days at the Breakers just the 4 of us, swapping stories and ideas on the year ahead, hearing how Paul had roped you in to learning skincare verbiage and prepping skin at a home event.  Just wonderful!
However this is not the memory I would like to share about Paul, the memory I would like to share is about a trip to London when Paul came to train us all.  Paul came many times over to support in events or to train us and we always had so much fun!  The one that sticks out in my mind we named “Love the Dove”.   It was a lesson from Paul in how to be tenacious in everything we do.  Paul realised that we as a team were struggling with a product and he came up with the slogan (Love the Dove).  He sat with every person in our teams to show them how to use in many different ways and how to embrace new products by experimenting.  He came up with the slogan so everyone had some fun and instantly we started using it and loving it.  I found it so inspiring watching Paul in action, he just saw the challenge we all had and turned it to a positive in a few minutes.  We always learnt so much from Paul on these visits, and in the last 4 years on our Zooms with Trish.  
We will take Paul’s passion and determination with us, his strength of mind and #LovetheDove forever!  We love you Paul!

Paul brought so much beauty and joy to the world. His legacy lives on in all who loved him. So grateful for the gift of his friendship for over 20 years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Paul and I became instant friends almost 18 years ago. I had given birth to my 2nd son 8 weeks prior and was being dragged by a friend through Saks on the way to a fashion show when Paul came running out from behind the cosmetics counter, grabbed my arm and said “come sit and let me make you look not so tired” 😆 
In perfect Paul fashion he made me feel pretty with his magical talent and kind words.

Paul was a beacon of light and will be sorely missed. I am one of his many friends that first met him at Nordstrom Galleria. He took care of my every cosmetic need, particularly Trish McEvoy from 2010  through just  a few  weeks ago….he texted me to make sure i got the “ buy two Trish mascaras and get one free!”  
I will miss him terribly. What a loss to all who loved his happy smile and beautiful soul. Heartfelt sympathy and prayers for his entire family and all who must face life on this earth without him.

Paul has been a long-standing joy in my adult life, helping me to find my own creativity in my makeup and being there for some of my most important moments. One of the most memorable is pictured here, one because it was my wedding day and also because the fire alarm went off in the middle!

Many people probably don’t know this, but Paul loved to play video games! He was a cherished member of our gaming community, whose dedication and leadership were guiding lights in our digital adventures. Though our encounters were confined to gaming online and a text chain, the impact of his presence was profound. He would even bribe my wife to let me play for longer by sending her some Trish McEvoy products! He gave some of us guidance on our professional careers while still yelling at us to follow his lead in whatever game we were playing at the time. We will miss him.

My dear friend. The person who made Houston feel like home. I will miss you more than you will ever know. My heart is broken. I will never forget the amazing memories we shared. Rest in peace, until we see you eachother again.

Paolo’s remarkable bravery and strength throughout his battle with cancer have left a lasting impression on all of us. I was just beginning to pack for my trip tomorrow and as I was gathering all of my “Trish” together I was thinking  about our precious Paul.  He helped me in so many ways for so many years that it is amazing to look back on.  I remember the first time meeting him before I was a huge Trish customer-he invited me in to his space for a little “refresh”.  Little did I know how talented he was-and he was so encouraging to me.  Teaching me the tools of his trade.  I bet we spent thirty minutes together that day.  Funny-when I got home my husband thought I had had a face lift🤣😂‼️. Paul was also the miracle man who patched my face back together after I had a collision with the rear gate of a suburban-black eyes and extensive facial bruising and-of course-I had a big wedding to attend and had to look my best😳!  He fixed me.  There was no evidence of my accident-it was remarkable what he did!  He also helped me with my mom-God bless her-after a fall.  Also had facial bruising-he fixed her 86 year old face perfectly.  She was also a fan.  

He gave me confidence about my appearance that I never had before him.  Most recently-I quit dyeing my hair.  It was getting whiter and whiter and I got brave enough to let it be natural.  Paul loved it 🥰!  Told me that I had never looked better and that it actually enhanced my makeup-which we both loved.  He was a very special friend to me-I will miss him terribly -  Gwen Kellog

Paul was a beautiful human being.  He was always so kind and caring.  He kept me looking my best for years and then he did makeup for my granddaughters who loved him also.  The world is now a sadder place because Paul is no longer in it.
