It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa Lee Hill-Brown, who departed this life on March 21, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones. She passed peacefully at the age of 84.
Rosa Lee Hill-Brown was born on August 30, 1941, in Stonewall, Louisiana (DeSoto Parish). She was the beloved daughter of Susie Lee Harris and Johnny King.
Rosa spent her early years attending Booker T. Washington High School, where she graduated. Following her education, she became a devoted mother who dedicated her life to caring for and nurturing her children.
She later married J.C. Hill, and from this union, they were blessed with eight children. He preceded her in death. She later married O’Neil Brown, and together they relocated to Houston, Texas. He also preceded her in death.
Rosa worked as a supervisor at the Marriott Hotel, where she dedicated many years of faithful service before retiring. She was known for her strength, honesty, and the deep love she had for her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children:
Eva Palmer,Jerry King (Sonia), Joyce Hill, Donnie Hill, Ronnie Hill, Debra Berry, Sherman Hill (Pam), and Jalen Hill.
along with 15 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews; two brothers, Joe Lee Harris and Bobby Joe King; and two sisters, Betty Harris-Grant and Mary Williams.
Rosa was preceded in death by her son, Dale Hill; her sisters, Mattie Harris and Sheron Darby; and her brother, Eddie Pouncy.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584, US, on March 28, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584, US, on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Houston Memorial Gardens, 2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581, US, on March 28, 2026, at 12:30 pm, and a Reception will follow at Forest Park South Funeral Home, Oceanview Events Hall, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, Texas 77584, on March 28, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
