

Born May 9, 1944 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Mont Lee and Bessie Ruth (Branson) Walls, she married Kenneth Eugene Cochran on July 30, 1962 in Rolla, Missouri. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kelly R. Broomfield of Pekin; two grandchildren, Joshua C. Broomfield and Mariann R. Broomfield, both of Pekin; and one half-sister, Jeannette (Andy) Andrews of Elgin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father (Christopher Columbus Rosenburg), and four brothers.
Ada worked for Alexander Bookkeeping and Tax Service in Pekin for 30 years as a receptionist, last working in July 2006. Previously, she was a waitress in the Pekin area.
She was a member of TOPS at First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
Ada enjoyed doing latch-hook, listening to Goodman Family gospel music, and her cats, Flash and Felix.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
