

Born May 8, 1933 in Kingston Mines to John and Flora (Richardson) Clifford, she married Everett Harold Jordan on March 15, 1952 in Peoria. He died August 18, 2009 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Robert Leroy Jordan, Harold Dale Jordan and Everett Harold Jordan Jr.; six grandchildren, including, Michael Long, and Dianna Brent; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Kenneth Clifford , one sister, Betty Clifford; and 1 son-in-law, Melvin Long.
Surviving are four daughters, Vickie L. Long of Chillicothe, Darlene J. (Garland) York of Pekin, Linda M. Jordan Smith and Sandra G. (Jerry) Martin, both of Murfreesboro, TN; one son, William A. (Kathy) Jordan of Peoria; twenty-four grandchildren; sixty -seven great- grandchildren; twenty-two great-great grandchildren and one brother, Leo D. Clifford of Minneapolis, MN.
Barbara worked last worked as a housekeeper for Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria. She previously worked as a housekeeper at Methodist Medical Center and as a cashier for Unclaimed Freight and for Kouri’s Food in East Peoria. She also had worked for Venture in Peoria in security and in their shoe department.
She was a member of Mapleton Church. She enjoyed caring for her family and loved being around her family.
Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Keith Huff will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kingston Mines Cemetery in Kingston Mines.
