She was born August 16, 1935 in Hanna City, IL to Vernon and Joanna (Hopper) Doubet. She married Jack K. Spelbring on December 14, 1952 in Arkansas. He passed away on May 24, 1997 in Groveland.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, one great-grandson, and a sister.
Surviving is one daughter Diana Empson of Peoria Heights, one son Larry (Shirlene) Spelbring of Groveland, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, and one brother.
Barbara was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Rev. Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
