

Born October 4, 1925 in Peoria to John Roy and Dorothy Blanche (King) Boster, she married Bernard Emmet Cage. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Beverly Kensinger; one brother; Robert Boster; three sisters, Shirley Rybolt, Nancy Derrick, and Patricia Reynolds; and one step-daughter, Jolynn Childs.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda Sue Mullen of Tremont; two granddaughters, Rhonda (Jeff) Fletcher of Banner and Michelle Fleming of Creve Coeur, two great-grandchildren, Brian Andersen and Stacey Andersen; three great-great-grandchildren; one step-son, Gary Cage of Peoria; one step-daughter, Linda cage of Chillicothe; five step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Florence (Jack) Hall of Mauston, WI; one brother, James (Sue) Boster of Germantown Hills; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was a sales clerk for Kresge’s for 31 years in downtown Peoria and later at Sheridan Village, retiring in March 1, 1987.
She had been a member of Creve Coeur Southern Baptist Church and had served her church as a bookkeeper, in the kitchen, and visiting others. She was a Chicago Cubs fan.
Her funeral will be at noon Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. The Rev. Dwight Winnett will officiate. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
