

Born April 11, 1937, in Lincoln to Lee Gowdy and Clara M. (Cramer) Biggs. Her parents preceded her in death as well as one brother, Jack Biggs and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Biggs.
Surviving are one daughter, Penny (Byron) Snider of Kingston Mines; one son, Steven Cooper of Moravia, Iowa; four grandchildren, Tiffany (Bill) Wieburg, Byron (Ashlee) Snider, Steve Cooper, Jr., and Bethany Cooper; four great-grandchildren, Riley Blair, Lillian Snider, Madison Snider and Liam Snider; four brothers; Gary (Peggy) Biggs of Springfield; Doug Biggs of Springfield; Robert (Donna) Biggs and Ken Biggs of Florida and one sister-in-law, Nancy Biggs of Texas.
Betty worked in the computer center at Caterpillar, Inc., retiring in 2002.
She loved her cat, Tigger. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and working outside, especially in her garden.
Betty was a member of North Parkway Assembly of God in Pekin. She enjoyed volunteering for the church’s meals and events. Her family and church family were the most important to her.
Betty’s graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday Sugar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
