

Born May 6, 1952 in Pekin, he was the son of Frank and Wilma (Davison) Sciortino. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Lee Sciortino and two sisters, Sandra Schaar and Becky Bolding.
Surviving are five children, Jason Sciortino of Lexington, Kentucky, Matthew (Lisa) Sciortino, Jamie (Jason) Jones, Mandy (Chad) Rife and Blake (Kristina Pike) Sciortino, all of Pekin; nine grandchildren, Steven Picton, Emily Wallace, Skyler Coryell, Tristen Rife, Riley Jones, Mattisan Sciortino, Zander Sciortino, Luca Sciortino and Kaiya Jones; one brother, Frank (Sharon) Sciortino of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.
Brad had proudly served with the United States Army reserves from 1971 to 1977.
A 1970 graduate of Pekin Community High School, he attended Bradley University and played football there the last year of their football program.
Brad retired in 2018 from Keystone Steel & Wire Company in Bartonville with 20 years of service. He also had worked for Laborer’s Local 231 in Pekin, Connor Company and the City of Pekin.
Brad coached Shade Park Baseball, Union Mission Basketball and Pekin JFL Football for 25 years. He was always proud to have coached kids on Sciortino Field at Shade Park. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved watching his grandkids play sports.
His memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The family encourages all to wear camo or their favorite sports jersey so long as it’s not Cardinals or Packer related. No service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorial contributions to be made to Shade Park, P.O. Box 1027, Pekin, IL 61555-1027.
