Brian L Chears

He was born March 5, 1989 in Pekin to Paula (Schurman) Gardner and John T Chears, Jr.

Surviving are his parents, both of Pekin; one sister, Lori (James) Durbin of Pekin; two grandmothers, Anna Herberger of Pekin, Opal Keen of Lewistown and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher C. Chears on September 28, 1988 in Macomb and two grandfathers.

Brian was a graduate of Pekin Community High School, class of 2008 where he was involved in the "Best Buddys" program.

He was a member of First Assembly of God / Driven Church in Pekin.  He had also been active with the Fusion Youth Center.

Brian loved Power Rangers, watching wrestling and "Unwrapped" on television, playing video games with his brother-in-law and going fishing with his uncles and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Pastor Shane Hawkins will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Cremation will follow the service and burial of ashes will be at a later date.
