Carmen Lord

Born February 17, 1934 in Sullivan to Charles Arthur and Lula Fay (Marner) Jackson, she married John Willis Lord in 1964 in Pekin. He died July 25, 1982 in Hopedale. Also preceding her in death are her parents; one son, Bert Allen Mahan; one grandson, Ozzy Ray Tower; one sister, Ruth; and three brothers, Lee, Mike and Albert.

Surviving are four daughters, Charlotte Jackson of Springfield, Peggy (Charles) Runyon of Glasford, Willamena Lord and Milly Howell, both of Pekin; two sons, Bill Mahan of Indiana and Joe Mahan of Manito; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, Carmen was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, doing crafts, sewing and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Jerry Rupp will officiate. Visitation will be one prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery in Manito.
