Carol L. Beasley

Carol L. Beasley, 71, of Pekin, Illinois passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the O.S.F. Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. She was born July 13, 1943 in Chester County, TN to Earl and Euple (Britt) Beasley.

Surviving is her brother Jerry (Mary) Beasley of Pekin, IL; sister Cathey (Harry) Edwards of Pekin, IL; two nieces: Jeri Dawn (Pete) Martel of Crystal Lake, IL and Tonya Sherlock of Bellevue, IL; four nephews: Richard (Cindy) Beasley of Bourbonnais, IL, Michael (Missy) Edwards of Peoria, IL, Wesley (Nicole) Edwards of Pekin, IL, and Shane (Shiney) Edwards of Bettendorf, IA; eight great nieces and six great nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

In her younger years, Carol attended Holiday Hills School in Pekin, IL. She was a long time member of PARC now known as EPIC. Carol lived at the Smiley Living Center, later she moved to PARC’s Laramie St. Group Home, and most recently EPIC’s Castile Group Home. She enjoyed receiving necklaces, bracelets, and rings as gifts, having people sharpen her lead pencils, making arts and crafts, especially yarn bracelets, and rocking in her rocking chair. Carol loved to dance to the music on American Band Stand and never missed an episode of the Mickey Mouse Club.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Rev. Mike McLeod and Rev. Josh Beutow will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to EPIC in Peoria or O.S.F. Richard L.
