Carol Ann Gagnon

Born July 10, 1941 in Chicago to Carl Weston and Ethel Louise (Birdsell) Ferguson, she married Jerry Tribbett in Pekin on April 30, 1959 to March 18, 1971. She later married John Gagnon on December 20, 1975 in East Peoria. John preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Laverne Donaldson; two brothers, James Ferguson and Irwin Ferguson and one granddaughter, Lora Marie Garber.

Surviving are her children, Carl E. Tribbett of Green Valley, Karen L. Wyman and Lisa M. Garber, both of Pekin and Jaclyn S. (Jason) Crull of Tremont; seven grandchildren, Brittany N. (Jesse Fisher) Stone, Amanda M. (John Martin) Brewster, Jeremiah W. (Kara Atterberry) Tribbett, Melanie S. Poore, Loren M. Garber, Logan P. Crull and Anna M. Crull and three great-grandchildren, Adam J. Poore, Rosie Tinsdell and Abigail Martin. Carol was anticipating welcoming four new great-grandchildren to the family, Corey Fisher, Chance Atterberry, Conner Atterberry, and Carter Atterberry.

Carol had worked for Foster & Gallagher and also held many positions as a factory worker and later retired as a CNA in 2003.

She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, reading romance novels, listening to country and gospel music, watching westerns on TV and spending time with family.

Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Keith Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin at a later date.
