

Born June 27, 1929 in Peoria to William and Thelma (Lowe) Fandel, she married Russell W. Woodmancy, Sr. on March 12, 1949 in East Peoria. He died July 16, 2000 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Russell Woodmancy and Richard Woodmancy, two brothers, Bill Fandel and Donald Fandel and one sister, Dorothy Fandel.
Surviving are six sons, Dave (Jamie) Woodmancy of Texas, Scott (Kelly) Woodmancy of Manito, Bruce (Vickie) Woodmancy, Tom Woodmancy and Ken Woodmancy, all of Pekin and Mike (Nordra) Woodmancy of Bloomington; one daughter, Carole Rodgers of Peoria; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Fandel of Massachusetts and Joyce Johnson of Florida.
Caroline worked at Pekin Community High School in the cafeteria for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Caroline’s family was her life. A person didn’t know love until they were loved by her.
Caroline was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed playing pinochle and bowling.
She was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Dr. Jerry Tupper will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
