Born on September 7, 1944 in Moberly, Missouri, she was a daughter of Mildred Frances Degarmo. She was raised by her mother and father, Clyde Bishop. Carolyn married William Herring on April 17, 1963 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are her two sons, Michael Herring and Scott Herring, both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Samantha (Daniel) Everett, Savannah Herring, Scott Herring, all of Pekin; four great-grandchildren, Tenly, Easton, Landon and Malachite and two nephews, Troy (Keitra Hill) Dwyer of Glasford and Rob “Justin” (Jen) Yost of Pekin.
She was preceded by her parents.
Carolyn worked as a Travel Agent for Peoria Travel for 25 years.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory of Pekin.
