Carolyn Hoke

She was born August 9, 1945 in Brazil, Indiana to Elwood and Oleva (Johnson) Hoke. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeff Reese.

Surviving are one daughter, Shelly (Tommy) Jones of Lincoln; six grandchildren, Daniel Althiser of Pekin, Derrick (Ashley) Althiser of Hartsburg, Drew Althiser of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dylan Althiser of Havana, Shawna Reese and Tyler Reese; five great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Althea, Hattie and Eli Althiser and Raylynn Reese; two sisters, Linda (David) McKinley of Pekin and Nana Sorrell of Bloomington; and one brother, Michael (Becky) Hoke of Pekin.

Carolyn was a member of Pekin First Church of the Nazarene.

She had worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 34 years, retiring in 2001 as a machine operator.

Carolyn loved planting flowers in her flower garden and floral arranging. She made floral arrangements for Becks Florist in East Peoria. She also enjoyed reading.

Her memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Pekin First Church of the Nazarene. Pastor W. Lloyd Brock will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
