She was born May 6, 1963 in Pekin to Daniel Bruce and Lenora Teresa (Hoerr) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Robert Smith, Danny Ray Smith, Leonard Smith and Bruce Smith and one sister, Karin Smith.
Surviving are her significant other, James “Jim” Towery; two sons, Nate Smith and Sam Smith; one sister, Penny Smith of Pekin; two brothers, Bryan Smith of South Pekin and Wes Smith of Topeka; and five grandchildren.
Carrie enjoyed making jewelry and other kinds of art.
There will be no services. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
