I was at St Joseph Med Center today and someone said Dr Lamb had passed on. I was one of her patients a couple years ago. She was a great doctor, kind, thorough, and listened to her patients. I really missed her when she moved out of Bloomington. Glad to have known her but sorry to lose her as my primary care physician. 

Kathy was a good friend during our high school years. I fondly remember our friendship, especially the summer we took canoe lesson together! Just recently seeing this notice and as we approach one year since her passing, I offer my condolences to her family and hope that one year has given some peace. The world was blessed to have had her.

I was fortunate enough to get to know Cathy during medical school and our friendship continued on afterwards. She had an amazing soul that cared like no one else I have met. She always had a smile on her face despite hardships that she faced in her life. She loved life to the fullest. She never stopped bragging about her kids. She was so proud of them. She had a passion for her garden and would take the opportunity to "play in the dirt" whenever she could. 

I am so very sorry to hear of Cathy's passing.  I knew her when she was the MT Program Director at St. Francis.  She was always great to work with - I really enjoyed her!  She will be missed.  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

 Michael, Alex, and I will hold our last visit with Cathy, at Alex's boot camp graduation, in a very special place in our hearts. Cathy was an inspirational strong woman that I will always admire. She was a great listener and always knew the right thing to say. I will miss her. 

I first met Cathy when she was in residency in the ED rotation at OSF. I was impressed by her compassion for her patients, competence, and quick wit. We became friends when we both joined a knitting group that came together monthly for a dinner, then knitted or crocheted afterwards and just visited, laughed, and shared life's crazy times. The group has missed Cathy since she became ill in August. My condolences and prayers to her family. 

Dr. Lamb was my favorite GP doctor.  She was caring, able to listen and spend time with me, help me through rough times, I felt best when under her care.I had even been thinking more recently about looking her up to see if she would take me as a patient and I would be willing to drive to Peoria (though I did not know her circumstances).  She also was a doctor to my mother and my mother in law. 
She and I shared gardening secretes and she had come over to our house to dig up some Blue Bells from our yard to plant in hers.
She was a very caring person and I have only great thoughts of her.

Dr. Lamb was a special lady, so caring with her patients. I worked with her for 3 years, but she was also my moms Doctor. Always gave my mom the time she needed and was very caring. I remember my last day at the office , I was going to sneak out because I did not like good byes but she caught me. She gave me a big hug and I cried. I believe she was letting me know everything would be ok. She knew my mom would not be with me much longer. She was a great person and will be missed by many. Prayers for her family. Rest in peace Dr. Lamb.

We are so saddened to hear of Cathy's passing.  She was always, kind enthusiastic, and compassionate.  Her courage to pursue and complete medical school as a second career was truly inspiring.  We wish her family peace.

My husband was a patient of Dr. Lamb for only a couple of years in Bloomington.  I always accompanied him on his appointments with Dr. Lamb, not only because I wanted to make sure we understood all of Dr. Lamb's care instructions that she gave to him.  I TRULY LIKED Dr. Lamb from the very first visit my husband had with her.  She was so thorough, intelligent, conscientious yet very, very kind.  We were both VERY SORRY when she moved back to Peoria.  We still miss her and are very sorry she passed away.  We will NEVER forget her.  She was one of the very best doctors we have ever had.  May God truly bless her.

I was a patient of Dr. Lamb for a very brief time before she moved to Peoria from Bloomington.  To this day I  have never forgotten her, she was absolutely wonderful as doctor.  I wish I could have continued my care with her but Peoria was just to far to go.  It's funny how a person can touch your life for a brief moment and never be forgotten.  May she rest in peace, she was awesome.

Dr. Lamb was my primary care physician and made a dramatically positive (and lasting) impact on my life. I can only imagine her overall contribution to this world. She was kind, compassionate, thorough and incredibly generous.  She leaves a beautiful and profound legacy through all the patients lives she touched and healed. 

Cathy was such a fantastic person-caring and helping.  I have known her for many years, but especially remember her when she helped with my father when he was dying in the hospital. I will remember her always smiling.  The world has lost a special person, but heaven has gained one for all of us.

Classmate from Sacred Heart and SI/AOL, fellow volunteer in Haiti, and fan during her medical school and residency. Cathy's determination is an example for all of us. May God welcome her into His kingdom, and comfort all of her family.

I am truly saddened to hear of Cathy's passing and will always remember her energy and enthusiasm during medical school. Her excitement was contagious as she pursued her dream of becoming a physician. She was an amazing classmate and I am truly heartbroken to hear of her loss. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved her during this difficult time. She truly was a special light in this world.

I am so saddened to hear of Cathy's passing and for her family's loss. She was a kind, supportive classmate and an inspiration to me as she succeeded in pursuing her second career. I pray for her family's peace, in due time, and that there is comfort in memories shared together. 

As a teacher of first year medical students I managed to get to know most in one way or another. I remember Cathy for her kindness and genuine care for others. This was obvious from the very beginning. I suspect medicine was truly a calling for her and I am so glad she answered that call. We are all the better for her being among us.

We did not know Cathy as well as some people, but we are very sorry for the families loss. She loved her family very much and she will be greatly missed. Our condolences

Have known Cathy since she lived in Chillicothe. We did not touch base often and sometimes it was just a message and Mary Kay products in the door at her house in Peoria but there was a connection at times.  All of you are in my thoughts and my prayers.


Cathy, thank you for your life of service.  The last time I saw you was in Haiti, helping others.  Please pray for us now, in your new life, that we may continue our work in the best way we can.  Pat
