Born January 21, 1956 in Pekin to Robert Deakin and Mary Ann (Steinbruner) Deakin, she married the love of her life, Carl Martin on July 19, 1986, in Manito- he survives.
Surviving are her son, Mark Hayes of Bartonville; her daughter, Dawn Martin of California; one brother, Steve (Julie) Deakin of East Peoria; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Brent and Brian Deakin; two sisters, Mary Deakin and Sherrill Slack.
She was employed at PAL Technology for 28 years before retiring in 2018.
There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
