

He was born September 5, 1954 in Pekin to Charles J. and Wilma J. (Adcock) Ehrett.
Surviving are his parents of Pekin; one daughter, Stephanie Elise (Matthew) Wallace of Pekin; one step-grandson, Tyler Joseph Wallace of Pekin; one brother, Gary Lee (Carline) Ehrett of South Pekin; one sister, Sue Ellen (Rick) Sombeck of Pekin; one nephew, Jason John Sombeck of Pekin and two nieces, Sara Marie Sombeck of Pekin and Tori Lee Ehrett of South Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Irvin and Annetta Adcock and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Jessie Ehrett.
Chick retired from Caterpillar, Inc. with 30 years on service as a machine operator in East Peoria.
A member and supporter of Ducks Unlimited, Chick enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and as of late, building Estes Rockets. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
His memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Michael McLeod will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded.
