

He was born September 27, 1937 in Hollis Township to Leander “Buss” and Lenamae (Herrman) Woodley. He married Delma Pearl Smith in Brimfield on September 29, 1956. She survives.
Also surviving is his son, Tim (and Marty) Woodley Sr.; grandson, Tim (and Kristen) Woodley Jr.; great-grandson, Trey Frederick Woodley; 2 sisters, Joyce (Cliff) Hamilton, Darlene Smith; and 11 nephews and 8 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 half-brothers; 2 half-sisters; 2 nephews and 2 nieces.
Charles worked at Caterpillar from 1956 to 1961, he then served with the US Army before returning back to work at J & J Ready Mix from 1962 to 1964. He then worked for CA Powley from 1964 to 1968, was a coal miner from 1968 to 1986 and returned to CA Powley from 1987 to 2001. He also farmed in the Glasford, Canton, and Bartonville area all of his adult life.
He was a member of the River Valley Antique Association and loved his Johnnie Popper Tractors, hunting, fishing and mowing. He formerly attended the Glasford Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin with Pastor Paul Cook officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford.
