

She was born October 6, 1958 in Peoria to William and Carol (Parrott) Potter. Her mother preceded her in death.
Surviving are her father of Bartonville; two daughters, Alexa'ndrea (Dalton) Johnson and Tiffani (Cody) Potter, both of East Peoria; one son, Shawn (Lynn) Potter of Topeka; six grandchildren, Amara, Brandon, Colton, Courtney, Dean and Kyler; one great-granddaughter, Michelle; two sisters, Kim (Joe) Wenzel of Bartonville and Cindy Parkinson of East Peoria; one half-sister, Lisa Smith of Creve Coeur; and several step-siblings.
Cheryl attended the Second Baptist Church in Peoria.
She had worked as a caregiver for many years.
Cheryl loved being a seller on E-Bay, going dancing and antiquing. She was an animal lover, especially her cat, Stormy.
There will be a celebration of life from 12:00-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Second Baptist Church, 6417 W Farmington Rd, Peoria, IL 61604. A visitation will follow from 4 to 5 p.m. on Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following visitation.
