Born on January 24, 1962, in Eau Claire, he was a son of the late Duane and Ardythe (Holmes) Lorentz. Craig lived a life defined by dedication, laughter, and a deep love for his family and community. He was a devoted husband to Rhonda Lorentz, a proud father to his sons, Austin (Erin) Lorentz and Winston (Calli) Lorentz, and a joyful grandfather to Caleb and Aiden Lorentz. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Carol Lorentz and Beth Lorentz-Helman, his mother-in-law, Lois Olson and many dear nieces and nephews.
Craig worked for many years in management with Avis Rent a Car and most recently with Detailers out of Pekin, Illinois. His work ethic was matched only by his charisma and generous spirit. He was a beloved friend, mentor, and colleague to many.
A loyal Green Bay Packers fan, Craig loved watching football, wrestling, hockey, and could often be found at family cookouts, sharing stories and laughter. His quick wit and big heart made him the life of every gathering.
Craig was an active member of Grace and Peace Lutheran Church, where his faith and compassion touched many lives.
He will be remembered for his magnetic personality, his boundless humor, and above all, the love he gave so freely as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
A memorial service will be held at Grace and Peace Lutheran Church in Peoria on Saturday, September 27, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and the service held at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will follow at the Peoria Sportsman’s Club at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Grace and Peace Lutheran Church or to the family’s Go Fund Me https://gofund.me/b49b919f
Craig’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave so abundantly.
