

Born September 29, 1953 in Peoria to Delbert Nelson "Red" and Dolores V. "Dolly" (Gambetti) Golden, he married Dora Lynn Snider on August 19, 1978 in Manito. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother; one son, Dale N. Golden; two daughters, Danielle M. Golden and Dana A. Golden, all of Pekin and one sister, Deanna M. Picken of Manito.
He was preceded in death by his father on November 27, 1990 in Manito and one brother at birth, James Lee Golden.
Danny owned and operated, with his wife, Golden Tan in downtown Pekin since 1998 and Golden Blaze Laser Engraving for the past several years. He also worked at the Woodworker's Shop in Pekin as a retail clerk for more than 5 years, last working March 17th.
He was a member of Duck's Unlimited and was a sponsor and committee member of the Pekin Chapter. Danny was an avid trap shooter, duck hunter and woodworker. He was a member of the Woodworker's Club at Pekin Hardwood and a member of the Tremont Sportsman's Club and the Peoria Skeet and Trap Club.
His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2006at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following services.
