

He was born November 4, 1950 in Pekin to James Franklin and Delola K. (Watson) Terrell.
Surviving are his mother of Topeka; 2 daughters, Toni (Greg) Salla of Topeka and Carol Miller of Manito; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Salla and Scott Salla, both of Topeka, and Ellie Logue of Manito; 1 brother, James Terrell, Sr. of St.Louis, Missouri; 5 sisters, Judy (Edward) Smith and Janie (Mike) Kolves, both of Topeka, Gerry (Ted) Albert of Anna, Linda (Dan) Gordon and Jan (Tim) Danner, both of Forest City; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and 1 niece
Danny was a timber worker in the area for 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War where he earned a purple heart and a bronze star.
Danny was a member and past commander of the Havana Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed fishing and being with his grandchildren.
His funeral will be at10 a.m., Wednesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. James Terrell, Jr will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest City Cemetery in Forest City.
