

Born November 26, 1926 in Chicago to David G. and Clara (Behnke) Chisholm, Sr., he married Lois Fisher on December 24, 1954 in Chicago. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Gail (Don) Perion of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Julie (James) Kocal of Valparaiso, Indiana and Beth (James) Brady of Cleveland, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Andrew) Winger, Justine Kocal, Jacob Kocal, Spc. David Hayes, Jerry Hayes, Jessica Shubert and Megan Brady; one great-granddaughter, Lana Shubert; one sister, Ruth Miller of Dunedin, Florida; and his niece, Lynda (Jim) Schultz of Ellisville, Missouri.
David was a photo engraver for 35 years, working out of Graphic Communications Union International Teamsters Union Local 458 in Chicago.
He was proud to have served in the United States Navy Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Louis E. Davis Post 56 in Bloomington.
David was an animal lover and especially enjoyed his cats. An avid gardener and golfer, he also took great pride in being physically fit.
Cremation will be accorded. Private burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements were entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Hopedale Medical Foundation's Giving Tree at 107 Tremont Street, Hopedale, IL 61747.
