David M Jones

MORTON ~ David Michael “Dave” Jones, 32, of 118 West Adams Street, passed away at 7:28 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born May 27, 1978 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Michael Merrill and Crystal Lynn (Risinger) Jones.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Crystal and Keith, Jr. Millett of Creve Coeur; father and step-mother, Mike and Debbie Jones of Greenwood, Indiana; grandparents, David and Marilyn Risinger of Morton, Joan Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana, Nancy Givens of Lincoln, and Willard and Shirley Calvert of Kuttawa, Kentucky; one half-brother, Matthew Jones of Greenwood, Indiana; one half-sister, Elizabeth Jones of Greenwood, Indiana; one step-brother, Keith Millett, III, of Decatur; and one step-sister, Michele (Andrew) Viergever of Danvers.

His grandfather, Merrill A. Jones, preceded him in death.

Dave worked as a mechanic at Peoria Thermo King and later at KCM Truck and Equipment Repair, Inc., both in Morton.

He was an avid sports fan.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral.  Pastor Doug Habegger will officiate.  Private burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
