

Born April 23, 1963 in Peoria to Donald Ray and Meredith Ann “Dotty” (Dykstra) Seaton, he married Laura Lee Smith on July 25, 2009 in Washington.
Surviving are his wife, Laura; his parents, Don and Dotty Seaton of Washington; one son, Jesse (Michelle) Hexamer of Washington; three grandchildren, Josie, Anthony, Dylann; one sister, Lisa (Michael) Chambon of Mendon, NV; and two nieces, Melissa and Alison.
A graduate of Washington Community High School, he attended Illinois Central College majoring in manufacturing technology.
David worked in Colorado and Texas before returning to Washington where he worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria. He later worked as a machine operator at Miller Welding and Ironworks in Washington and last at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington as a maintenance man.
He was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington.
David enjoyed skiing, time on his motorcycle, family trips to the Boundary Waters, fishing in Minnesota, and eating pizza and salad at Palanza’s. He cherished his family and friends especially the moments he had with his grandchildren and his sweetheart, Laura.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. The Rev. Tom Goodell will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
