David Lee Starr

He was born on November 25, 1962 in Peoria, a son of Larry and Sandra (Lantz) Starr.

David is survived by his father; Larry Starr of Washington; three sons; Phillip Starr of Spring Lake, Cole Starr of Bartonville and Jordan Starr of Bartonville; daughter; Jennifer Gresham; fiancé; Hope Smith of South Pekin; two sisters; Kimberly Starr, Laurie (Starr) Harris; one brother, Jeffrey Starr; one step-daughter; Stephanie Havron of Pekin; one step-son; Michael Johnson and seven grandchildren; Lilly, Lucas, Joslyn, Grayson, Alyssa, Andrew Alina; two great-grandchild; Dustin, Maggie and one on the way.

He was preceded by his mother.

David worked as a truck driver and private investigator. He loved riding motorcycles and anything Harley-Davidson, collecting guns, playing board games with family, camping, fishing, and most of all spending time with family.

Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Services will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions in honor of David may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
