David Wright

He was born October 13, 1953 in Peoria to Lyle and Annabelle (Hinderliter) Wright. He was preceded in death by his mother and twin sister, Patricia, who died at birth.

David is survived by his father, Lyle Wright and one sister, Holly Dozard, both of Pekin.

He had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria for 30-plus years, last working in the paint barn and retiring in 2014.

David was an avid antique collector and dealer and mushroom hunter. He loved blues music and was a volunteer disc jockey for W.E.F.T in Champaign and for a radio station in New Orleans.

He was member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in East Peoria.

His memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in East Peoria. There will be no visitation.Pastor Mark Drews will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Augusta. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
