Dewayne "Wayne" Appleyard

Dewayne “Wayne” Howard Appleyard, 25, of North Pekin, Illinois passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born May 7, 1989 in Pekin, Illinois to Howard and Kimberly (Lucas) Appleyard.

Surviving are his parents Howard and Kimberly Appleyard of North Pekin, IL: his daughter Makayla Marie Appleyard of Metamora, IL; son Lelend Ray Howard Appleyard of Pekin, IL; two sisters, Ashlie (Brandon) Marold of Trivoli, IL and Heather (Justin) Appleyard of Pekin, IL; three nephews, Kaden and Kolton Larmore and Levi Marold; two nieces, Anabelle Wright and Lillian Lowe; grandparents Theodore and Rebecca Appleyard of North Pekin, IL; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Dewayne was a graduate of Pekin High School where he was a rifle captain in the J.R.O.T.C. After high school he went on to work for Fred Lawrence and Sons Fire Extinguisher Company and most recently G & D Integrated as an assembly worker.Dewayne’s hobbies included spending time with his kids, mudding, hunting, fishing, and just being outdoors.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
