Diana K Stone

Born November 29, 1947 in Pekin to William and Frances (Brooks) Yates, she married Walter Delbert “Junior” Stone, Jr. on December 4, 1965 in Pekin. He died July 17, 2010. She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Joanne Bandeko, Allen Yates, Janet Williams and Edward Yates.

Surviving are one daughter, Wanda Stone of Marquette Heights; two sons, David Stone of Marquette Heights and Steven (Tammy) Stone of Harlingen, Texas; five grandchildren, Jesse, Sarah, Jalee, Jonah and Jocelyn Stone; one great-grandchild, Matthew Rhodes III; and her siblings, Wilma Rice, Thomas (Janet) Yates, Nancy (Harold) Barrix, Sally Allen, Patricia (David) Threet, Annette (Lee) Jacobsen and Dorothy (Dale) Lishock.

Diana enjoyed doing plaster crafts and ceramics. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved hummingbirds and cats. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

She had worked as cleaning supervisor for VSI. She also had worked as a machine printer at Foster & Gallagher.

Arrangements are pending at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
