

Born February 21, 1927 in Pekin, he was a son of Harvey Goodwin.
He married Freda Kearney in 1947 in Pekin.
Surviving are 1 son, Donald J. (Rhonda) Goodwin, Jr. of Bark River, Michigan; 4 daughters, Linda Justice and Sherry (David) Schultz, both of Pekin, Deborah (Stanley)Senecal of Peoria, and Kelly Goodwin of Winter Park, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Richard (Joyce) Goodwin of Pekin and Harvey (Beulah) Goodwin of Peoria; 1 sister, Evelyn (Norman) Morrison of Pekin; and a special friend and caregiver, Millie Stone of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Goodwin.
Pete worked for Corn Products Corporation in Pekin for 41 years, retiring from Pekin Energy Company in 1983.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a life member of the Roy L. King V.F.W. Post in Pekin. He was a member of the Pioneer Club and a former member of Eagles Aerie #1869 in Pekin.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Pekin.
He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.Pastor Brad Martin will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2006at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Military rites will be provided by the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team and the U.S. Navy.
