

Born July 10, 1932 in Carrollton to James E. and Ethelyn O. (Shaw) Gardiner, she married Richard Hoehn on February 25, 1951 in Pekin. He passed away July 26, 2005 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Hoehn; one grandson, Jason; two sisters, Carol Cook and Doris DeVault; and two brothers, George and James Gardiner.
Surviving are one son, Dennis G. (Debby) Hoehn of South Pekin; one daughter, Randa L. (Bernie Scanlon) Hoehn of Mapleton; one brother, William Spencer Gardiner of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Sutton of DeMotte, Indiana, Krista J. Hoehn and Nathan (Krista L.)Hoehn, both of Pekin, Stephanie(Caleb) Wolff of Columbus, Indiana, Rachel (Brian) Fox and Matthew (Lisa) Frederick, both of Pekin, Chad (Valerie) Hoehn of South Pekin and David Hoehn of Creve Coeur; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Donna had worked as a credit manager for Allen's Vogue in Pekin for 12 years, retiring in 1984. She had also worked as a sales clerk for Baubles & Beads in the Pekin Mall and as a telephone operator for Middle States Telephone Company.
She was a member of the St. John's (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley, where she also belonged to Rebekah's Circle.
She also was a former member of the Home Extension Unit 2 in Springlake.
Donna loved to paint Christmas figurines, sewing, fishing and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed going on trips to other countries.
Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Rev. Kevin Bueltmann and DCE Bill Kreuger will officiate. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
