Dorothy D Morris

Born March 2, 1933 in Pleasant Plains to Gamblin and Virda (Denny) Smith, she married Floyd Morris, Jr. on February 1, 1958 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Brenda J. Crawford of Springfield, Melody D. (Gary) Montgomery of South Pekin, and Melinda J. (Robert) Seelye of Hopewell; one son, Martin S. (Dolly) Morris of Pekin; six grandchildren, Marcella (Damon) McMahon and James McMahon, both of Pekin, Summer Danz and Bronwyn Danz, both of South Pekin, and Robert Seelye, Jr. and Martin Cole Seelye, both of Hopewell; two great-grandsons, Kalem Danz and Blaine McMahon; one brother, Wendell Smith of Springfield; and two sisters, Edith Hamm Parker of Pekin and Betty Lou Elmore of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother.

A homemaker, Dorothy enjoyed shopping with her daughters and sewing in her earlier years.

She attended Fellowship Community Church in South Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2006at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Pastor Dowice Ashley will officiate. Private burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
