Dorthy J Patton

Born April 19, 1935 in Georgia to Joe and Elsie (Parker) Frasure, she married Thomas Patton on February 28, 1953. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Helen (Ron) Kelso of Creve Coeur; two sons, Gary (Teri) Patton of Depue and Terry Patton of Harrison, Arkansas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bessie Patton of Jackson, South Carolina.

Dorthy was a member of the McArthur Drive Baptist in North Pekin.

She had worked in textiles at Sears and for Ronco Textiles.

Dorthy cherished her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at McArthur Drive Baptist Church in North Pekin. Rev. Dr. Bobby Barnhill will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur is in charge of arrangements.
