

He was born on January 21, 1944, in Peoria a son of Edward Eugene and Geraldine “Marie” (White) Bartholomew Sr. He married Bonita Bolen on October 21, 1988, in Peoria. She survives.
Edward is also survived by his children; Jim (Pam) Bartholomew of Florida, Cindy Watson of Arizona, Joseph Bartholomew of Kentucky, Jackie Winger of Illinois, Kali Bartholomew of Tennessee, two stepsons; Billy Carter and Scott Carter both of Illinois, one stepdaughter; Sherry Falk of Illinois several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Eugene Bartholomew and one stepson; Gary Belt.
Edward proudly served his country in U.S. Army. After his enlistment he worked at Caterpillar Inc for 47 years mostly in Mossville as an Electrician and was a member of the company fire department.
He was a member of the AMVETS Post # 64 of Peoria. Edward enjoyed working on cars and listening to music. He loved spending time with his family and especially the young children.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory of Pekin. There are no services scheduled at this time.
