Elaine A Hurley

Born March 20, 1931 to Fred and Lillian (Wyss) Block, she married John "Jack" Hurley on January 19, 1952 in Missouri.  He preceded her in death on July 29, 1999 in Peoria.

Also preceding her in death are her parents; two brothers and one sister.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary (Jeff) Tassart of Pekin; two grandchildren, J.J. Tassart of Pekin, IL and Janelle Tassart, of Phoenix, AZ, and one brother, Larry (Emily) Block of Pekin.

Elaine worked as a bookkeeper for Globe Auto Supply in Peoria, retiring in 1998.

She had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin.

Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and hosting family gatherings.  She also enjoyed taking lunch to the staff at Globe Auto Supply every day.

Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  The Rev. Ron Little will officiate.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
