Born on February 25, 1954 in Walland, Tennessee, she was a daughter of Ollie and Bessie Idele (Milsaps) Law. She married Charles Michael "Mike" Riley on August 3, 1990. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1995.
Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charlie H. Law and Edmond Leon Law.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina Lynn (Bruce Jones) Mosley of Peoria; and two granddaughters, Angela Dawn Foreman of Carbondale and Haley Michelle (Blake) Miller of East Peoria.
Elizabeth spent her professional life caring for and serving others, first in the nursing field, and then as an order entry technician and additional roles at PAL Health Technologies for over 20 years. She last worked as a clerk at the Washington Walmart store and previously enjoyed working in the deli for many years. Her daughter, Christina, recalls fond childhood memories of frequent visits to the nursing home where Elizabeth worked, where she and her mother would spend time with her patients on Elizabeth's days off.
Elizabeth had a deep love for animals, especially her cat, Alex May, and the squirrels she would feed on her balcony. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and many beloved pets throughout the years. Though gift giving and acts of service were very important to her, messing with her loved ones and giving them sass were her favorite ways to show she cared. You could not have found a more generous spirit wrapped in a fiery, headstrong package, and there aren't enough words to describe how dearly she will be missed.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory of Pekin. Her Celebration of Life service will be held on February 1, 2026 at the Congerville Village Hall 300 Lincoln Street, Congerville, IL 61729 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, Illinois 61554.
