PEKIN ~ Emma Joann Petitt, 68, of 15 South 3rd Street, Apartment 3, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2006 at Dekalb Nursing and Rehab Center in Dekalb.She was born October 25, 1937 in Delavan to Joseph and Johanna (Bailey) Miller.
Surviving are one daughter, Beverly (Joseph) Bauman of Dekalb; two sons, Jack Curry of Pekin and John (Terry) Waremburg of Alabaster, Alabama; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Barry Miller of Pekin; and one sister, Sharon Fabry of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; and three sisters.
She had worked extensively as a cook in many Pekin area restaurants.
She enjoyed gardening.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Dillon Cemetery in Dillon. The Rev. Randy Justus will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
