Eugene Allen Schalk

Born October 1, 1952 on Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Delmar and Etta (Spears) Schalk, he married Judith Hinckley on June 2, 1976 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Andrew (Alicia Burlow) Schalk of South Pekin and Alisa (Dennis) Hall of Manito; five grandchildren, Amber (Austin) Schalk-Crider, Austin (Jade) Spradley, Adam Spradley, Alexia Barlow and Dalton Mont; two great-grandchildren, Audrie Crider and Laylah Spradley; three brothers, Mark (Lori) Schalk of Deval, Washington, Delmar (Starr) Schalk of Champaign and David (Denise) Schalk and one sister, Sandra Schalk of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Patricia (Schalk) Mason.

Gene was a United States Army veteran.

He had worked as a truck driver for G&D Integrated in Morton.

Gene was a Chicago Cubs fan and he enjoyed watching TV, like Antique Roadshow and Barret-Jackson Auction Company.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services are scheduled at this time.
