Eva M Waldmeier

Born September 2, 1930 in Kampsville to Howard and Anna (Gansz) Bland, she married William Louis “Bill” Waldmeier on July 3, 1949 in Pekin. He died January 11, 2013 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Richard Waldmeier.

Surviving are two grandsons, Zachary Waldmeier of Iowa City, Iowa and Joshua Waldmeier of Pekin; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Waldmeier of Pekin; one brother, Roland Bland of Bethalto; and two nephews.

Eva worked as a secretary for many years at several area auto dealerships, retiring from Velde Ford in Pekin.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin.

Eva enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching golf, especially Tiger Woods play.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. The Rev. Glenn R. A. Niemann will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
