Evelyn M Fisher

Born April 10, 1923 in Romeo, MI to John and Mary (Nemeth) Mahaffy, she married Otto Begeman on May 6, 1944. He died October 9, 1966. She later married Joseph J. Fisher, Jr. on February 2, 1970. He died August 3, 2004. She was also preceded her in death by two sons, James Begeman and Gary Begeman and one granddaughter, Nicole Timian.

Surviving are one daughter, Sally (Mike) Cody of Pekin; five sons, Sarge (Nancy) Begeman of Suttons Bay, MI, Skip (Marcella) Begeman of Stanwood, MI, David (Sandy) Begeman of Pekin, Rick Begeman of Chesterfield Township, MI and Bill (Sue) Begeman of Big Rapids, MI; and a daughter-in-law, Jane Bradshaw Begeman of Pentwater,MI.

Evelyn last worked at Arby’s in Pekin. In her earlier years, she worked at American Distilling Company in Pekin.

She loved to bake, but her greatest joy was all of her children and grandchildren.

Evelyn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1869 Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services or visitation.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society, in honor of her granddaughter, Nicole at 4234 N. Knoxville Ave. Peoria 61614.
