Evelyn L Pfeiffer

Born October 11, 1931 in Peoria to John Henry and Lois Esther (Evans) Tieman, she married Donald Gene Pfeiffer on October 15, 1950 in Pekin. He died January 26, 2006 in Pekin. Her parents also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Jerry G. (Mary) Pfeiffer of Pekin; one daughter, Alisa M. (Steve) Matheney of Pekin; five grandchildren, Eugenia Pfeiffer, Steve Pfeiffer, and Brandon Matheney, all of Pekin, Cassie Pfeiffer of Brimfield and Matthew Matheney of Wauconda; two great-grandsons, Laurin Pfeiffer and Christian Pfeiffer; one brother, John (Maria) Tieman, Jr. of New Braunfels, Texas; and one sister, Shirley (William) Stear of Hanna City.

Evelyn was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Manito, where she maintained the attendance records. She was a volunteer at the Miller Center in Pekin.

A homemaker, Evelyn enjoyed crocheting lap robes and baby blankets and donated them.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. John Worsham will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
