Everett C Heren

PEKIN ~ Everett Christopher Heren, 65, of 5733 Dim Stars Court, North Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2006 at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was formerly of Pekin.

Born December 1, 1940 in Green Valley to Christ and Bertha (Hild) Heren, he married Deirdre J. McCloud.

Surviving are his wife, Deirdre J. Isaac of North Las Vegas, Nevada; four sons, Timothy (Becky) Heren, Michael (Beth) Heren, and Joseph (Karla) Heren, all of Auburn, Illinois, and Christopher Heren of Show Low, Arizona; two daughters, Crystal (Chris) Arnold of Auburn, Illinois and Paula Heren of Las Vegas, Nevada; one step-daughter, Amanda Isaac of North Las Vegas, Nevada; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert (Pat) Heren of Naples, Florida, Duane (Mary) Heren of Mazon, Illinois, and Bill (Sonia) Heren of Pekin.

His parents preceded him in death.

Everett was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.

He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.

Everett was of the Lutheran faith.

His funeral will be at 6 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2006 at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada, where visitation will be two hours before the funeral. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Sand Prairie Cemetery in rural Green Valley, with Pastor Thomas L. Heren officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made to Saint John's Lutheran Church, 13443 Townline Road, Green Valley, IL 61534.

Local arrangements are by the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
