

PEORIA ~ Faye Maxine "Grandma Crackers" Taylor, 89, of 2501 Allentown Road in Pekin, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2008 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. She was formerly of 3037 West Trewyn Avenue in Peoria.
Born June 2, 1919 in Glasford to Peter and Edith (Keel) Bunger, she married Everett Taylor on January 18, 1936 in Ft. Madison, Iowa. He died February 3, 1998 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by four grandchildren and one brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Evalyn Nash of Mapleton and Mary Alice Hunter of Glasford; two sons, Daniel (Betty) Taylor of Menco, Oklahoma and Robert (Carolyn) Taylor of Wyoming; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor Ball of Bartonville and Irene Bitner of Glasford and two brothers, Clarence (Patsy) Bunger of Glasford and John (Carole) Bunger of Pekin.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She formerly worked for Becks' Florist and in the dietary department at the Peoria State Hospital.
Cremation will be accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford at a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hallmark House Nursing Center for "Meal on Wheels," 2501 Allentown Road, Pekin, IL 61554.
